Meet the Builder
We are pleased to introduce you to our Bellmoore Park developer and builder team bringing over 30 years of experience in the home building and development industry.
Tom Peterson, Vice President for The Providence Group of Georgia, began his 35 year career in the home building industry while attending Southern Technical College in Marietta in 1981. He spent six years honing his skills with a custom home builder prior to joining Centex Homes in 1987, where he served in various capacities including Field Manager, Purchasing and Estimating Manager and Division President during his 17-year tenure.
While at Centex, Tom met Warren Jolly through land-purchase transactions, and joined The Providence Group in 2004 to lead the company's single-family homes division. Tom brought a wealth of housing industry knowledge and experience and became instrumental in the success of The Providence Group. Tom's role at The Providence Group has continued to grow with his focus on all facets of growing the division from community start-ups, assisting in new product design to managing all construction activity.
Chris Willis, Vice President of The Providence Group, has over 30 years experience in residential homebuilding. A native Midwesterner with a BBA from the University of Iowa, Chris has worked with a number of quality national builders in Texas and Georgia. In 1995 he started and ran a successful building company where he built single-family homes and townhomes.
In 2002, Chris joined Jolly Development and played an instrumental role in the start of The Providence Group. In his role as Vice President, Chris leads the building arm of The Providence Group's dedicated team of builders, projects managers, superintendents, and field crew who have extensive experience with quality residential and mixed us projects that include mid-rise condominiums, office condominiums, townhomes, single-family homes and light commercial condominiums with a variety of architectural styles.
Chris is a past President of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association and is a Board of Directors Life Member. He is also a member of the National Association of Homebuilders, Georgia Home Builders Association, and the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association. He has been named Builder of the Year twice by the Dekalb Chapter of HBA and the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association in 2002. He also served as the President of the HBA's Dekalb Chapter and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association for six years.
